There is a wonderful Magnolia tree just outside my window. I work in a loft, and I have an amazing view of the trees outside both my back and front yards. I feel a rush of appreciation as I write this, because I get to see the outside even when I’m inside. Even so, I felt the whisper of spring calling me to come outside, a little closer, and closer still. One perfect bud so full of promise hung on the branch at my eye level. It is about to flower. In the meantime, it is the most magnificent bud I have ever seen. Pastel pink held in a green shell. Blue sky. Puffy white clouds. Perfect day!
