I have always heard that your best ideas come to you in the shower. I never really understood what that meant until I began noticing. The more I practiced presence, the more I made the connection. I discovered there is a difference between trying hard to think and hardly thinking. Letting go of the expectation is the magic!
I remember I literally received a download during my shower one day. It’s the day I began singing a song I had never heard. Specifically, I wasn’t trying to make up a song. Rather, the song was being sung. I was just giving it a voice. I loved the tune, and I began humming it over and over. All of a sudden, I had a magical and sweet song all composed in my heart, and I wanted to share it with my children.
They are all familiar with my original song. In fact, if I begin, they will continue. It’s a song for the dreamer in all of us. It’s a lullaby and a bedtime reprieve. This tender tune reminds me to keep my dreams alive!
