I just dropped my daughter off at school and pulled up to my house. I noticed a few things needed to be trimmed. So I walked on the dew-covered grass and clipped some small branches from a bush. Next, I meandered into the backyard, past a grasshopper who was clinging to the siding. Then, as I sauntered into my backyard, I felt it. The quiet of morning. It was tangible. As I held my breath for an instant, I noticed more Morning Glory blooms. A new color today. Another day to practice presence and give thanks for these gifts.
