I Spy…

As usual, just after Mother’s Day, I planted flowers in my front yard garden. Bright orange and yellow marigolds and pink and purple petunias. Soon after, I noticed the marigolds were not growing. In fact, they were disappearing! One day, my husband called me to the living room window to see what he discovered. This sweet little bunny was nibbling his way around the marigolds, hopping from one to another. After a little research, I learned that bunnies love to eat marigolds, which are in the sunflower family. Marigolds can be eaten by humans, too. They are the source of antioxidants and beta-carotene, reduce inflammation, and have other healing benefits. I think it is perfect that this little visitor to my garden taught me something new.
