The Perfect Summer Rosa

Each summer, the moment my children are off from school, the pace of my life shifts. Usually, my daughter and I slip into quiet moments reading books and spending lazy days at the pool. There is an unfolding that happens for me as a woman and as a mother. During these slower moving days, I reflect more deeply. I feel appreciation for this precious time, and I revel at being on this parenting journey. This year is a little different. We’ve been home longer due to the quarantine, and the momentum leading to summer was not quite the same. However, when my husband presented me with a bouquet of perfectly pink roses this week, I was reminded of the intricacy of life and the need to stay present to its unique perfection.
