“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

I didn’t need to sign up for conferences. However, after all the parents signed up, I found the few remaining slots, and I added my name. This year, in particular, I wanted to check in with a few teachers. Some of them were new, and we haven’t been able to meet face-to-face. I also felt a nudge to see how they were doing, so I began each conference by sincerely asking, “How are you doing?” Then, I shared a few examples of things that made a difference to my daughter’s experiences this year.
We had wonderful and meaningful moments. Each teacher expressed some of the challenges. One teacher shared how her father passed away, and she couldn’t travel home to be with her family in her home country at this time. She’s been feeling low. My daughter and I couldn’t get her home, but we could do something to let her know we were thinking of her. We put this vibrant fall bouquet together to add some life and color to her days. And we hope it brings a little joy to your day, too!
