Taking a hike in a magical woods is an invitation to notice the ordinary things and refocus until the real beauty reveals itself to me. When a tiny purple flower appears on my path, I look closer. I notice the intricacy. So much detail. One flower among so many caught my attention on this day. The ends of each petal are not rounded or smooth. They are jagged and edgy. I marvel at the lovely violet strands of life in the center of the flower. When I pay attention to something so small, I remember to honor each seeming little thing. Life is full of charming surprises. When I looked up the meaning of the Chicory flower, I was delighted to discover that it symbolizes ‘faithfulness in love’. My walk in the woods was an invitation to fall in love with this wild purple beauty!
