Life’s Little Suprises

In the end, maybe it’s wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices.”
Elizabeth Gilbert

I’m touched by the daily surprises that show up in my life. They are the sweet and tender moments that are offered through interaction and connection with others.

My heart is full of beautiful people and beautiful stories. Sometimes, they are complete and total surprises, unexpected blessings.

They arrive like a soft blanket draped over me while I’m tired and in need of some rest or like a bouquet of flowers that just make a good day brighter. They are simple acts that permeate my heart and soul, and I feel it all deeply within me.

As I reflect on all the wonderful and magical blessings that appear each day, I remember something that I’ve been sharing with my children.

Be true.

Be honest.

Be genuine.

Hug fully, cry effortlessly, laugh with abandon. Love with an endless well. Love everyone. Say what you feel. Say I love you, and say it often.

Say it today!

Let people know what they mean to you. Say thank you. Apologize if you need to. Forgive always. Be vulnerable. Be curious. Learn about the other. Let them teach you something about yourself.

Learn. Grow. Expand. And don’t be afraid of change. Don’t be afraid to mess up. Don’t be afraid of anything. Yet, know that it’s okay if you are… Let yourself evolve. Change can be both challenging and exhilarating at the same time, and if you trust in the process one time, you’ll see you have the capacity, the courage, and the strength to do it over and over again.

You’ll find that adversity deepens your roots and grows you into life unimaginable.

You’ll be surprised at what you can do and who you’ve become, and every step of the way, you will be the kind of person who makes a difference just by being here.

I hope you discover that YOU are the surprise that shows up in someone’s life today.

with love and endless delight,

Rosa
